Cenovus previously said up to a quarter of the combined workforce could be cut after takeover

After the merger between Cenovus and Husky, the combined company with headquarters in Calgary will be worth more than $23 billion. However, Cenovus has said that 20 to 25 per cent of the combined workforce would face job cuts. (Brent Lewin/Bloomberg, CBC)
